Recently, I had the opportunity to engage with students at Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) on the topic: From strategy to inquiry: shaping the IB School of tomorrow in a digital world.

Rather than focusing on answers, we explored the importance of questions: shifting from fixed certainty to curiosity. In an age of AI, where information is everywhere, the real value lies in imagination, experiential learning, and empathy.

What stood out most was the students’ openness to rethink education and their role as future educators. We discussed how their uniqueness -their perspective, creativity, and ability to connect – will remain irreplaceable in an increasingly digital world.

Education is not about competing with AI. It’s about becoming more human within it.
